Interfaith Coalitions is a sub-category that refers to groups of all faiths working together for a common goal.  Many of these organizations come together through a concentration on similarities between faiths, understanding of values, and commitment to the world.  These are religions that are found all over the world and are working to fund various causes. This sub-category has over 100,000 organizations and support groups donating their time and money to better our world.
 
Christianity is a large sub-category made up of two  groups: Protestants and Catholics.  These two groups are similar in their beliefs and in their goal to support charities who provide clothing, shelter, monetary support, physical and emotional care to those in need.  These organizations also fund numerous research centers for cancer, heart disease, and other diseases as well as fund hospitals for those less fortunate or require special care for an illness.  These are located all over our country to assist those in need from infants to senior citizens.
 
There are thousands of Support Organizations for religious charities.  They contribute in numerous ways such as:  alliance/advocacy organizations, management and technical assistance, professional societies/associations, research institutes, public policy analysis, monetary and non-monetary support.  These groups are the ones who are not usually recognized for their giving but are essential to the success of the organizations.
 
There are thousands of groups in America that donate and support Jewish charities all over the world.  These organizations provide funding for Jewish college sororities and fraternities, scholarships and  provides assistance to Jewish adults and children in Israel who are suffering physically, financially or emotionally. Judaism efforts cover the globe from everyday care to aiding in emergency relief.
 
Religious Media & Communications provides funding for religious film and video, printing and publishing, religious radio stations, and  television broadcasting.  Many of us think that if we give to our own local churches that is covers the cost of all those needs but it takes many organizations coming together to be able to provide all of the media and communications that we receive.
 
There are many Buddhist charities that do good work throughout the world including helping and feeding the homeless and orphans in Europe, India and Nepal.  They support refugees, re-establishes monasteries and nunneries, and provides traditional schooling.  Some aide in disaster relief worldwide while others support grassroots projects in South East Asia and beyond.
 
There are over 500 charities that are Hinduism based.  These charities provide general funding for orphanages, care for the Hindu tribal people in India, funding for small village temples around the world, and medical expenses for Hindus in need of care.  There are also Hindu organizations that focus on retrieving religious artifacts as well as providing books and assisting libraries who have the dedication but lack the necessary funds.
 
Islam is a giving religion by nature.  They believe in giving to charity as part of their culture.  Their charities suppport many organizations worldwide that are dedicated to providing housing and care for orphans, aiding in disaster relief, and provides psychological treatment to traumatized children.  They have also been recognized for their efforts in the field of HIV/AIDS.  There are over 900 Islam charities to donate to in this sub-category.
