The Matching Program provides incentives to those involved for securing donations on behalf of DonationNetwork. Through the matching funds the program provides, you can receive up to $12,000.00 per year for charities. This can be accomplished with only a $50.00 per month donation. For complete details, please refer to the online program guide -The Donation Matching Program Guide
How do I sign up for the Donation Matching Program?
To join the Donation Matching Program, you may either join the program immediately when you sign-up to use the website, or you may find a charity that you would like to donate to and click the 'DONATE NOW' button. You will be given the option of joining the Donation Matching Program anytime you select to donate to a charity.
You can get information on the program at The Donation Matching Program You can go directly to the sign up page at The Sign Up Page
One of the greatest aspects of the Donation Matching Program is the use of teams. When you join the program you and your team will work together to move everyone through each stage of philanthropy available. For more information on teams check out the Team page of the online guide.
Do I have to be a team leader to donate through DonationNetwork?
No, Team Leaders are used only in the Donation Matching Program. You do not need to be in the Donation Matching Program to use our site to donate. We accept both one time and recurring donations though the site without being part of the program.
If you want to donate through the program you still do not have to be a team leader. To avoid being a team leader simply do not sign up anyone under your team number.
A 'Supporter' is a name given to the first stage of philanthropy in our Donation Matching System. At this stage, you will be able to receive matching funds based on your team's contributions. Once you obtain 7 blocks of donations, or $350, you will receive 100% matching funds for your current donation ($50.00). These funds may be donated through our site to a charity of your choice or you can have these funds directly deposited into your account for you to donate to a cause that is not listed on our site.
A Contributor is someone who is at the second stage of philanthropy in the Donation Matching Program. You reach 'Contributor' level, when your team has brought in $1600 per month or 32 blocks of $50 donations. At this stage, DonationNetwork will provide you with $250 a month in matching funds that you can choose to donate to your existing charities, or have the funds directly deposited into your account to be used for an outside charity or cause.
A Patron is someone who has achieved the third and highest stage of philanthropy in our Donation Matching Program. This level is achieved when your team brings in $5000 a month in donations. At this stage, DonationNetwork is able to provide you with $1000 per month in matching funds. That's $12,000.00 a year with an out-of-pocket expense of $50.00 per month! Like the other stages, this amount can be donated through the charities you have selected online or directly deposited to your account to give to a charity or cause not listed online.
Can someone sign up to be on my team without having my team number?
In order for someone to be on your team, they must have your team number. If they do not have it then they will need to wait to sign up. This is very important as you can not switch teams after you have signed up. Please double check this information when signing up.
How can I get more brochures to give to potential team members?
If you are trying to obtain donations and run out of our brochures, please send us a message through the messaging system. In the message please state the amount of brochures that you would like. Please note there is a maximum amount of free brochures available. We will have an ordering system for brochures and other materials in place soon.
One key factor to remember is that a Team Leader must have secured two Team Members to have the help from the Network Support. The Spillover method will help all members involved reach the desired stages of the program.
How many team members do I need to have to reach each stage of philanthropy?
The Donation Matching Program is not based on the number of team members but on the number of blocks of donations you secure. So in reality the number of people required to reach all stages is two. However, if every block of donation was a different person it would be as follows:
Stage 1 -Supporter 7 additional, matching funds amount 100% or $50.00 per month.
Stage 2 -Contributor 32 additional, matching funds amount $250.00 per month.
Stage 3 -Patron 100 additional, matching funds amount $1000.00 per month.
If I tell a friend about DonationNetwork and they choose to donate just once, can I use them as part of my team?
We are excited to receive their donation, however, it will not count toward the stages in the Donation Matching Program. In order for someone to sign up as a member under your team they are required to agree to the terms of the Donation Matching Program. One of the terms is that members of the program agree to donate $50.00 per month while in the program.
What is the advantage of signing up multiple times?
Each entry into the donation matching program has the ability to receive up to $1000.00 per month in matching funds. Thus, the more times you have entered into the program the more matching funds you have that ability to receive. It is important to note that each entry has the same requirements of all other entries.
What is the maxinum number of people/donations that can be on my team?
There is no maximum limit. When it comes to growing your team the more team members, or blocks of donations you can acquire, the better. The larger your team then the more money your team will be contributing and the higher the level of matching funds that we can provide. The final stage of the program gives matching funds based on 100 blocks of donations. You can have more than 100, but you will only be receiving credit for 100. If you reach this stage you should consider putting another entry into the program.
What is the minimum number of people I need on my team to be involved in the Donation Matching Program?
You can be involved in the Donation Matching Program with zero team members. However, you need at least two people or two blocks of $50 donations to be eligible for matching funds.
What is the most money I can donate in a year from a monthly donation of $50?
Anyone can be a great team member. We recommend that you start with family, friends, and co-workers. Church members are a great avenue, especially if they add their church to the charity listings, along with corporations. You never know who will become a great team member. Through the Donation Matching Program everyone can make a huge difference whether their contribution is $50 a month or $500.
Yes, you can put as many entries into the Donation Matching Program as desired. Once your first entry reaches stage 1-Supporter it is probably a good idea to create another entry in the program. Each entry has the possibility of doubling the matching funds that are available.
If you choose to discontinue donating through DonationNetwork then your team will continue without you. The team members you have recruited are not affected by your removal from the program. The only change that occurs will be the charities you were donating to will no longer receive your donations.
Will I be notified if someone new signs up to my team?
No, you will not be notified if someone new signs up to your team but you can check your team's progress at any time by logging on to 'My Account.' It will provide you with the amount of donations your team has secured and what stage of philanthropy you have reached.
Will I have my own account page that lists all my preferred charities, team members, etc...
Changing your charity is easy. Just browse through our site and locate the new charity you would like to donate to. When you find that charity simply click the 'Give Now' button. The system will pull a separate tab asking if you would like to change the charity in which you are currently donating. To donate to more than one charity look into the charity funds options.
How often does DonationNetwork send a check to individual charities?
DonationNetwork sends a check to charities quarterly provided that the charity has accumulated at least $100 in donations. These donations do not have to come just from you. They are totaled from everyone participating in the Donation Matching Program.
Once you have reached the Supporter Level and DonationNetwork is matching a portion of your team's donations, then, by default, the matching funds will be donated to the charity/charities you have already selected. If you would like to have the matching funds directly deposited into your bank account for a charity that is not listed on our site, then you can specify that as well. This is done through your online account status page.
If I choose to split my $50 donation between two charities, does that count as my $50 for the month or only $25?
Each donation has to be $50.00 in the Donation Matching Program. You can specify different amounts to different charities through the use of charity funds, but it still counts as your full $50 monthly donation.
Is the donation to the charity made in my name, the team name, or in DonationNetwork's name?
When a check is given to a charity, DonationNetwork's name will be on the check but you may choose to have someone's name listed under "In memory of" or "In Honor Of." You may also choose to be an anonymous donor. This choice is made on your initial donation information but may be changed at anytime through your account status page.
When will DonationNetwork start matching my/my team's donations?
DonationNetwork will match your donations when you personally have secured $100.00 in donations and your team secures $350 a month or 7 blocks of donations. When your team has done this, you will have reached 'Supporter' status and will be able to receive your $50 a month in matching funds.
For recurring donations your credit card will be charged every month on or around the same day as your original day of donation. For example, if you made your first donation on January 14th then your card would be charged every month around the 14th.
Will the tax documents show what I personally donated ?
You will receive information on the amounts you have personally donated to us. This is the amount of funds that are tax deductible. You will also receive a report of the matching funds that you have donated. However, matching funds are not tax-deductible. You have to actually donate the money for the amount to be tax-deductible (matching funds are actually donated by us).
