DonationNetwork uses a messaging system as the means of communication. We have found the messaging system to be more effective and efficient than standard emails. Your messages are accessed through your messages link in your account status page. The only people who are able to send you messages are the people in your Team and DonationNetwork.

How do I check my messages?

To check your messages:

1) Click on My Account located on the top right of the page (login if necessary).
3) Click on the My Messages on the menu to the left, which will show you the Messaging Menu.
4) Click on Read Messages

Who can send me a message?

Messages can be sent to you from:

1) The Team Members of your Team.
2) The Team Leader of the Team you joined when signing up.
3) DonationNetwork.org for Member Support questions.
4) DonationNetwork.org for the Monthly Newsletter or information messages.

How do I mark a message as 'SPAM?'

When reading a message, you will see a SPAM button above the message. Click this button to delete this message and report it to DonationNetwork.org as SPAM.

Can I send other users a message?

The only [[user|users]] you can send a message to are:

1) The Team Members of your Team.
2) The Team Leader of the Team you joined when signing up.
3) DonationNetwork.org for Member Support questions

We limit who you can send messages to so that the messaging system does not become cluttered with a lot of SPAM.

How do I respond to a message?

To respond to a message, you will need to click on the message to read it, then the respond option will appear above the message. Click this to respond to the message.

When responding, a copy of the original message will be put at the bottom of your response to let the other person know the topic you are responding to.

Can I have my messages forward to my email?

You can select to have your messages forwarded to your email account by configuring that option in the Message Preferences.

Please note:

1) Email can be highly unreliable due to SPAM filters, network outages, etc.
2) Messages cannot be replied to from the email.
3) The email is only an informational copy of the message waiting for you on DonationNetwork.org.

Can I opt-out of messaging?

Yes and No.

Yes, you can opt-out of the Monthly Newsletter and informational messages from DonationNetwork.org. You can opt-out of these by configuring that option in the Message Preferences.

No, you cannot opt-out of messages from your Team Members or Team Leader. If they continue to send SPAM messages, their membership will be terminated so they would no longer be able to send you any messages.
